Direction II
A duo examining the semiotics of movement and the physical construction of a path. These pieces treat the canvas as a construction site where masonry meets the sharp, instructional language of the chevron.
Direction I utilizes a monochromatic weave for interlaced strength, while Direction II employs high-contrast orange and black to evoke urgency. Both works feature a heavy, stucco-like border that emphasizes the canvas as a carved, three-dimensional object.
