Black Spine

A reimagining of the anatomical as an abstract landscape of light. This work uses a skeletal framework to house clusters of mirrored cells, exploring the relationship between rigid structures and the fluid environment.

The piece focuses on the play of light within recessed apertures, using reflective orbs to pull the surrounding room into the composition. Set within a metallic grey surface, the work becomes a reactive object that shifts with the viewer's perspective.
